In the first week match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns, Patrick Mahomes may have left a spoiler for the season up ahead. The season starter proved to be a success for the Chiefs, but not a result that the Browns would have hoped for.

It was pretty much evident that the newly formed defensive lineup of the Browns was no match for the Chiefs’ phenomenal attacking trio of Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce.

Patrick Mahomes wants to meet the Browns in the playoffs

Although after the match, the old rivals Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield shook hands and commended each other’s performances. That is when Mahomes said, “Keep leading ’em, bro. We’ll see y’all later on in the year.”

It is a no-brainer to say that both the teams have a shot at the Super Bowl, as pointed out by analysts and media. However, Mahomes believes it to be true as well. He looks forward to meeting his friend and rival since college days, later in the playoffs this season.

Yes, the rivalry between Mahomes and Mayfield goes a long way back to their college days. Back then Mahomes played for Red Raiders and Mayfield for the Sooners. And it will be a delight to watch both the fierce rivals step up their rivalry a notch and fight for a spot in the Super Bowl.

During the first game week, the visiting Browns controlled most of the game but in the end, it was Patrick Mahomes’ ‘Tyreek’s down there somewhere’ throw that won them the match with a 33-29 score against the Browns. Patrick, however, knows that the Browns have the potential to make the playoffs, and he certainly looks forward to meeting them with even more at stake.
