Patrick Mahomes had a great Christmas this year following a splendid performance against the Seahawks in Week 16. The defense played phenomenally well, aiding the Chiefs to seal a win and improving their season record to 12-3. During the post-game press conference, the quarterback wished a Merry Christmas to the entire KC fanbase and revealed what he was grateful for.

The 24-10 victory helped Mahomes and Co. to catalyze their run for the top AFC spot. Overall it happened to be a great year for the quarterback on & off the field.

He got married, welcomed a new member to his family, and along with all that, led the team toward a great season. While speaking to Laura Okmin of Fox Sports, Mahomes was asked about the Christmas celebrations back home.

“I’m grateful for the people around me. I’d say that’s fans here, that’s my family back home. I’ve been blessed to be with a lot of great people.” The gunslinger expressed his appreciation for all the loved ones. “And so, I get Christmas Eve and Christmas day y’all. Santa Claus is coming to the Mahomes household, and we’re going to have a lot of presents,” he added.

As far as the blessings are concerned, Mahomes bought a bunch of Taylor-Made golf clubs for his offensive linemen. Resonating the same gesture, his teammate Travis Kelce gifted some old Japanese BearBricks toys, something that Mahomes wanted for a long-time. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had a unique way of celebrating holidays.

He laid off $10,000 back into the people of KC as a token of love for their support. Meanwhile, head coach Andy Reid got one of the best gifts. After the Week 16 clash, the entire Chiefs squad bought their beloved coach a jumbo cheeseburger. Reid’s favorite snack of all time.

The Chiefs will host Russell Wilson and Co. for New Year’s eve at Arrowhead stadium. Although the Broncos are almost out of contentious, it will be an interesting game for the NFL fans out there.
