It’s continuing to be the year of the Chiefs kingdom. 2x Super Bowl Champ Patrick Mahomes and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, made their debut appearance at the White House after winning the Super Bowl LVII earlier this year against the Philadelphia Eagles. It is an old tradition for major sports league winners to celebrate their victories with the President in the White House. But after National Football Champions Georgia Bulldogs declined their invitation from Joe Biden, the Chiefs made their way to the sets of the White House.
And this is not the first invitation that Patrick Mahomes and Co have received for visiting the White House. There was also another time when the previous President of America Donald Trump invited them as well, but they did not make their appearance back then.

On the 5th of June, the Chiefs made their way to the White House for their visit with POTUS Joe Biden. This included the whole roster who were a part of the Super Bowl LVII triumph, including the likes of Mecole Hardman, Juju Smith-Schuster, and even OC Eric Bieniemy, who all recently made their exit from the team, were present in the celebrations.

Patrick Mahomes took to Instagram to share a post of the White House visit day, as it was also his debut White House appearance with Joe Biden. Mahomes looked classy in a blue formal suit. We even see pictures of him and his teammate Travis Kelce, who was wearing a red suit, presenting the POTUS with a Chiefs jersey with his name and the number 46 written on it.
While some fans were proud of their team celebrating their victory at the White House, other fans, mostly Donald Trump fans, were irked by the fact that the team did not make their visit during Donald Trump’s reign as the POTUS when they won the Super Bowl in 2020. Back then, the pandemic was in full swing and the situation was very critical throughout the world. This led to the Chiefs sitting out on their White House visit that year.
Fans irked by the Chiefs visiting Biden
While Patrick Mahomes and Co celebrated their White House visit, some fans took to the comment section to show their discontentment with the team missing out on the same opportunity with Donald Trump. They even weren’t happy with the fact that they decided to accept the invitation from Joe Biden.
One fan said, “You played this well Mr. Mahomes. You had every opportunity to take that same picture with Trump in 2020 before the pandemic and you quietly did not.”
Another fan commented, “So disturbing that you even showed up, and then presented him with a Chiefs jersey with his name in it!🤬”
