And when he sat down with the NFL Network for an interview, the biggest question on everybody’s mind was about the ankle injury to Patrick Mahomes. Thankfully, he laid to rest all the doubts about the QB’s health happily.
“He didn’t have to get anything done. He’s doing good. He feels good. This time, he jumped right back into workouts and working the ankle, rehabbing the ankle. He’s lifting and running the parts that he could run, and he didn’t miss a beat on that,” Reid told the NFL Network.

When Patrick Mahomes hurt his ankle in the divisional round playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, many fans feared that the Chiefs season was over. But the QB had other ideas. He went out for a bit and returned to finish the game off in the second half. The Chiefs kept their record of making it to the AFC championship game every year since Mahomes became a starter.
