Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes seems to be keeping tabs on the happenings during the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine. The 2020 Super Bowl champion remembered a memory he wanted to forget after seeing Tyquan Thornton’s amazing 4.21 seconds 40-yard dash. He recalled his 4.80 seconds attempt at the 40-yard dash drill and wondered what went wrong.

Mahomes appeases his fans by theorizing that maybe it was the change of the turf that affected Thornton’s performance. But his shame was further amplified by the NFL Network, who compared his 40-yard dash attempt with 4 quarterbacks.
The tape consisted of Mahomes with Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, Raiders QB Marcus Mariota, and Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder.
Mahomes seems far from happy about how he was portrayed by the broadcasters. He was wondering why his run video was used at all. But it does provide NFL fans with a golden yet memorable moment they can hold onto for years to come. While Mahomes and the Chiefs fans will not be happy, the footage will be something they want to forget.
