As the 2023 NFL season draws near, football fans all over the world are eagerly anticipating the return of their favorite teams and players to the field. But perhaps the most awaited player is Patrick Mahomes. After just winning the Super Bowl, NFL MVP and the Super Bowl MVP last season, the QB is on an absolute hot streak. 

He has been gearing up for his return league with a bolstered squad. The QB has been working out in Texas in the meantime, and one of his recent workouts has surfaced online and in the news. However, it’s not his exceptional throwing arm or record-breaking statistics that have been grabbing people’s attention. Rather, it’s a recent image of Mahomes on Instagram. 

Hilarious Behind the scenes footage of Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes has been practicing in Texas in preparation for the upcoming NFL season. But photographer Heather Smith caught some behind-the-scenes footage of the QB practicing. The images, though, have many in splits as Mahomes was caught with a hilarious yet weird face in his training pictures.

The image in question shows Mahomes making a peculiar face as he throws a ball during a practice session in Texas. In the photo, Mahomes can be seen with his mouth open wide and his eyes squinted as if he’s in the middle of a sneeze or a yawn. It’s a strange and somewhat hilarious expressionand the candid nature of it definitely adds to the comedic nature of the photo.

Fortson Seeks a Bigger Role in the Chiefs’ Offense

While Mahomes’ weird face may have stolen the spotlight in the photo, the practice session was also significant for Chiefs TE Jody Fortson.  Forston too was working out with Mahomes at the training center in preparation for the upcoming season. The TE is looking to earn a bigger role in the team’s offense this season, and he’s been working hard to gain the trust of his quarterback and coaching staff. 

It’s clear that Fortson is a player to watch this season after he’s spent a significant amount of time riding the sidelines for the Chiefs. As for Mahomes, ​​it’s a reminder that even the most serious and focused athletes can still have a sense of humor and enjoy a lighthearted moment now and then.
