Kansas City Chiefs had anything but an ideal start for the 2021 regular season and Patrick Mahomes’ fiancee can’t take it anymore. Brittany was fed up with the officiating crew after the Chiefs lost to the Bills in their week 5 clash.

Brittany Matthews took to Twitter to express her dissent with the decisions taken by the referees that they have not been in favor of the Chiefs. And immediately after her tweet, she found herself surrounded by criticism from all sides.

However, for Patrick Mahomes, the refs are hardly the problem right now. Despite his successful previous two seasons for the Chief, Mahomes seems to be struggling at his end this season. With just five weeks into the regular season, the Chiefs have managed only two wins so far.

Losing a total of three games till now, the Chiefs 2-3 lie at the bottom of the AFC West division table. They have to pick up the pace now or may lose a chance to make the playoffs this season. Their game against the Bills was supposed to be their pickup moment, but they failed to break the winning streak of the Bills.

Patrick Mahomes needs to get back on track

The Chiefs took a lot of damage already when they suffered two straight losses against the Ravens and the Chargers in the first two weeks. However, the referees are far from being the real issue.

Patrick Mahomes has been very un-Mahomes-like in his approach recently. The Chiefs quarterback hasn’t been his dominant self at the start of the season, making some uncharacteristic misses to the receivers.

And so, after luring many hate comments, Brittany came back with a humble reply. However, in order to get the Chiefs back on track, it should be Mahomes’ responsibility to reach his receivers like he used to earlier in his career. His week 6 clash against the Washington Football Team will be a make-or-break match for them.
