While recent shifts in the NFL have made his contract the 7th highest, in terms of longevity, he seems to have an edge. The QB has signed a 10-year $503 million contract extension with the Chiefs in 2020, making him the first player to sign a contract that is worth over half a billion dollars. In terms of guarantees, he gets $477 million in guarantees over the 10 years with the ability to have outs if the guarantees aren’t exercised.

All in all, the QB has garnered a brilliant contract for himself through sheer excellence on the field. With his multiple endorsements and brand deals, it only remains to be seen if he is able to become the first NFL billionaire.
