Tom Brady Missing From MET After Public Split From Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, Fashion World Embraces the Next Best NFL Couple

The year is 2017. Tom Brady won the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. But that was not just the only biggest highlight of that year. On May 1, both Brady and Gisele Bündchen co-hosted the Met Gala together. Bündchen looked stunning in a backless Stella McCartney dress, as Brady accompanied her in a handsome suit.

Cut to six years later, the Brazilian model graces the red carpet solo after her divorce from her ex-husband Brady. This year, the NFL GOAT was nowhere to be seen at the 2023 Met Gala. While the fashion world might not have its eyes on Brady and Bündchen anymore, they have already embraced the next glamorous NFL couple.

A new NFL couple steps up at the Met Gala

Brady and Bündchen always stood out as the dashing NFL couple in their 11 appearances together at the Met Gala over the years. But now, the crown has now been passed on to the Kansas City Chiefs 2X Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany. Despite Bündchen attending the Met Gala, fans will surely miss the GOAT Brady’s presence at the iconic fashion event. The synergy they made will now be a part of the event’s history books. But amidst this, a new synergy is in the making between Mahomes and his wife. Many regard Mahomes as one of the greatest QBs in the league at the moment. But he and his wife scored a fashion touchdown at this year’s biggest fashion event as the couple made their Met Gala debut.

Mahomes graced the Met Gala red carpet in a black suit, well paired with a collarless white shirt and sunglasses. His wife Brittany also stood out, looking absolutely stunning in a white gown paired with a silver neckline and matching heels. Keeping in line with this year’s theme ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A line of beauty,’ the duo crushed it at the event, as they stood out as the next perfect couple of the NFL.

But despite Gisele Bündchen’s divorce from her husband in October last year, she still left the fashion world mesmerized as a solo standout in the event.

Bündchen’s first solo appearance at the Met Gala since split

The supermodel graced the red carpet of this year’s Met Gala in an angelic white dress from the archives of Chanel. She wore the vintage Chanel dress with a white feathered cape, a look that suits the former Victoria’s Secret Angel. Bündchen previously wore the same dress during a photoshoot for the magazine’s Korea edition in 2007. And the dress is the perfect homage for Karl Lagerfeld, as it is a part of his collection, as well as for the professional relationship they shared during Bündchen’s modeling career. 

It seems like a shifting tide amongst fans, as now Patrick Mahomes and Brittany stand as the vanguard for NFL power couples in the world of fashion.
