Patrick Mahomes was born in Tyler, Texas. During his college days also he played for Texas Tech. Even though he now lives in Kansas City, he has frequently shown that he is still very fond of his home state.

Patrivk Mahomes has now brought the famous fast-food outlet of Texas to Kansas City. It is the burger franchise named Whataburger, and it is quite famous in the Chiefs’ quarterback’s native place. Moreover, it received a good response from people, as they were eager to taste the famous outlet’s special burgers.

Talking about the ‘Whataburger’ franchise, Mahomes said, “Obviously, being from Texas, you have a lot of Texas pride. And Whataburger is kind of at the forefront of that. I’ve always ate Whataburger since I was a little kid..”

He added, “And then when I got older, I’d babysit my brother, and there was a Whataburger literally down the street. And we would always grab that and kind of have that while my mom was working.”

Mahomes’ fans are delighted by his new business decision. The people who have been rooting for him since his days in Texas Tech were really happy with the fact that he brought a flavor of his native state to his new home in KC.

Even though Patrick Mahomes is now a superstar in Kansas, he still supports various teams in his home state, Texas. After the NFL season ended, he was seen supporting the basketball team of his college, Texas Tech.

Moreover, in the recently ongoing playoffs, he was supporting and attending the games of the Dallas Mavericks. Since Dallas is also a part of Texas, Mahomes and Luka Doncic share a good friendship. The Mavs starlet and the Chiefs superstar might very well be the poster boys of their respective sports pretty soon.

Patrick Mahomes now will shift his focus onto the football field once again. He has a big task ahead of him. The Kansas City Chiefs will be out to avenge last season’s shocking loss in the AFC Championship. They have lost Tyreek Hill, but the spirit in their camp is still great. They have improved their all-around roster, and are still among the favorites to win it all.
