Can we anticipate more mansion purchases from Patrick Mahomes? Well, his recent newly reconstructed deal is so staggering that it will be no surprise if he may consider further investments in his already elite real estate portfolio. During this NFL offseason and even during the regular season, many players and quarterbacks are cashing in on lucrative contracts.
As a result of observing other quarterbacks getting more money than the Young GOAT, the defending Super Bowl winner Chiefs without hesitation rewarded their hero. The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have revised their contract, guaranteeing he would get the highest amount ever paid to an NFL player over four seasons ($210.6 million) from 2023 to 2026. Interestingly, this comes as a guaranteed compensation. Subject to his performance and the state of the market, the Chiefs and Mahomes will further review the deal following the 2026 season.
With this groundbreaking deal, the young GOAT has surpassed a combined total of $1,212.5 million earned by players like Lamar Jackson ($260M), Jalen Hurts ($255M), Justin Herbert ($262M), Joe Burrow ($275M), and Daniel Jones ($160M). His astounding $660 million windfall has propelled him ahead of these players in terms of total value.
After Joe Burrow’s deal was extended this month, Mahomes’ average yearly pay, which is $45 million, plummeted to seventh place among quarterbacks. He now moves back to where he rightfully belongs near the top, though still trailing behind Burrow.

Patrick Mahomes signed a 10-year, $450 million deal with the Red Team in July 2020. That amount translated to his average annual earnings of $45 million, making him the highest-paid quarterback in the league at the time. However, with the recent contract restructuring, Mahomes will now earn an average of $52.65 million per year.
On the other hand, Mahomes’ rival Joe Burrow currently holds the top spot. Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals agreed to a five-year, $275 million deal extension this September. His average annual income as a result of this is almost $55 million, which is $3 million more than Patrick Mahomes’ annual income.
