He mentioned a convenient way in which the hassle between the NFL and the Bengals team could be solved. Furthermore, the solution he mentioned would be a lot more coincidental than anything the NFL has come up with yet.
Pat McAfee has ‘wise’ solutions
After the cancellation of the Bills-Bengals game, the Bengals are in a unique situation. The Bengals lead the AFC North table over the Ravens by 1 game. However, due to the fact that they have not played as many games as everyone else, there is a chance that the Bengals might lose the title and the home-field advantage that comes with it in the playoffs. This has angered the fans.

The fans are angry as the NFL has not made their decision to resolve this clearly. However, McAfee seems to have a very unique and speedy solution, which he revealed on his show. He said, “It should be a best-of-five coin toss, Cincinnati should be up one nothing.” Notably, the logic behind keeping the Bengals up was assuming that the Bengals would’ve won the game against the Bills. Furthermore, McAfee still maintains his stance in regard to the Hamlin situation that caused this confusion.

McAfee on the Hamlin situation
McAfee had previously stated his thoughts on the Hamlin situation. He had a conversation with Aaron Rodgers about the Hamlin incident and was furious even then with the NFL’s behavior in making decisions.
While the decision-making method McAfee mentioned is not perfect, it would be the one that seems a lot fairer than anything the NFL has come up with yet. It only remains to be seen what methodology is adopted by the NFL.
