In a candid conversation with his ex-girlfriend, Danica Patrick, QB Aaron Rodgers, shared a little-known fact about himself. He said that he had found a surprising yet common way of keeping his mental faculties strong by solving crossword puzzles.

Rodgers sat down to chat with Patrick on her YouTube show ‘Pretty Intense.’ They talked about football, life and their motivation to become the best version of themselves.
What made Aaron Rodgers take to solving crossword puzzles?
Rodgers‘ said he solved 8-12 crossword puzzles a week and said that he was doing them for a long time. It was a practice that he got from his grandparents, who themselves solved the puzzles.
The Packers QB said that they helped stimulate his mind, and he also enjoyed the challenge they provided. Rodgers said, “I mean I do enjoy them but also you know I’ve had a number of concussions, and you worry about your future brain functions and I feel like doing crosswords, doing Sudoku, doing KenKen, watching Jeopardy, brushing your teeth with a different hand, tying your shoes in different orders.”
He continued, “There are lots of things you can do to stay sharp mentally and I think that’s one of them, crosswords”.
Rodgers recently won the golf exhibition named ‘The Match’ with Tom Brady, defeating Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Crosswords for sure, but how else does Rodgers improve himself?
Rodgers also discussed how he consistently tried to improve himself as a person, mentioning his love for reading books. He said he’d “love to read more”.
The Packers QB said he had a large number of books in his personal collection. But has not yet completed reading them. Rodgers had a tough time choosing his top five books. He mentioned Jon Krakauer’s books ‘Where Men Win Glory’, about Pat Tillman, ‘Into The Wild’, ‘Under the Banner of Heaven’, ‘The Shack’ and ‘Love Wins’ as some of his perennial favorites.
