The San Francisco 49ers cut Green Bay Packers’ playoff journey short. The Packers were ready to give it their all with the number one seed under their possession. Bye week’s rest and the home field advantage did not work in their favor. Despite the unreal performance by AJ Dillon, the Packers fell to the 49ers.
Dillon suffered a fractured rib during the division round loss. The close game came to an early end for the running back. But AJ is motivated and ready to go for this third year in the franchise.

AJ Dillon in the game against the 49ers
The running back AJ Dillon started the playoffs game against the 49ers at Lambeau Field. He was a significant difference-maker in the early plays of the game. He capped off the first offensive drive by the Packers with a touchdown. The running back covered 25 rushing yards with seven carries and one touchdown.
Dillon was taken off the field in the middle of the game. The reason was an unknown chest injury. His return to the match was questionable. AJ wanted to get back on the field, but he could have hurt himself more. So for precautionary reasons Dillon stayed on the sidelines.
On Monday the RB revealed to the reporters that the chest injury was a fractured rib. Dillon said, “It was tough”, he adds, “I’ve never had to really deal with any injuries throughout my career at all. The good news is, it’s nothing that will ever affect me long term”.
