The Green Bay Packers selected Sean Clifford, a 24-year-old quarterback from Penn State in the 2023 NFL draft. He was chosen as the 149th player in the fifth round. Notably, Clifford is three months older than the Packers’ starting QB, Jordan Love. Since the Packers already have several quarterbacks on their roster, Clifford faces a tough challenge to secure a spot on the team. Additionally, he must demonstrate his ability to work well with Jordan Love, who now leads the offense.

Clifford got to be part of a special show called “The Locker Room” that came out last month, from Fanatics. The show was about how some of the best players in the NFL welcome the new guys, Clifford knows that he has a lot to live up to as he gets the locker that Aaron Rodgers used for 17 amazing years as a four-time MVP. To make this day even more special and to say hello to Clifford, Rodgers sent him a gift that he will never forget.

Sean Clifford was in for a pleasant surprise when he received a package from Aaron Rodgers shortly after joining the Packers. Inside was a jersey autographed by the legendary quarterback, who had recently left the team. Clifford was overjoyed by the generous gesture and thanked Rodgers on Twitter for the amazing gift: “Not a bad a housewarming gift…thank you!”

The framed jersey also had a handwritten note from Rodgers, who greeted Clifford with kindness and support, “Sean-Welcome to GB! Enjoy that great city & my locker!” Aaron told Clifford to enjoy his time in Green Bay and to make the most of it. Also added that Clifford could use his locker, a sign of respect and trust from the former MVP to the rookie.
