As the possibility of a return to Green Bay diminishes for Aaron Rodgers with each passing day, a new favorite contender has emerged to land the Super Bowl XLV MVP in the hopes of long-forgotten playoff success. The New York Jets are very close. And ESPN’s Mike Greenberg thinks A-Rod will fit the Gang Green way better than Derek Carr could ever have.
And it doesn’t have to do with the quarterbacking skills of the two veterans, although Aaron will probably rank higher on the accomplishment list. Greenberg’s primary concern is the brutal New York media pressure. And based on Carr’s media history, the television and radio host went with Rodgers on this one as well.
Who else but Aaron Rodgers?

Greenberg came on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ to discuss the possible Broadway-bound move for four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers. However, he stayed on A-Rod’s good side, and instead threw newly signed New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr under the bus.
Aaron Rodgers’ attitude, especially when things go south, was a prime cause of concern for former Jets defensive end and Hall-of-Famer Joe Klecko. However, Greenberg thinks there is no one better for the job. And especially not Derek Carr.
“There’s nothing bigger than this that could possibly happen,” longtime Jets fan Greenberg said. “He’s one of the best players that ever lived. And he’s exactly what we need. Anyone that walks in here is walking into a tough media market and all that stuff. The fan base. Everyone’s worried about that stuff. If Aaron Rodgers can’t handle that, then who possibly can? Derek Carr? I mean, other places made him cry! We’re not gonna have that,” he added.
How far are the Jets from securing A-Rod?
Just a year ago, Aaron Rodgers was the reigning back-to-back league MVP. And he did that with Nathaniel Hackett in the offensive coordinator position. Now that Hackett is the Jets OC after a 15-game stint as the Broncos head coach, Rodgers really wants the reunion. Reports came in last week that No 12 is open to a Big Apple move.
