The HC, John Harbaugh mentioned that he is completely happy with the way Jackson has been contributing. He mentioned that he is content with the contribution other players have been making and even name-dropped some of the players. Additionally, he also spoke about what his expectations are from Jackson.
He mentioned the expectations and said, “Lamar is going to be ready and he’s going to be here, doing the things he needs to do to learn the offense and be involved and we’re going to pace that out just a little bit like I don’t I don’t need him to be in there running to run a team thing full speed, the first day or anything like that.” Interestingly, this point of mutual agreement came between the team and the player after a lot of struggle.

The long struggle for Jackson to stay in Baltimore
Up until recently, there was a lot of uncertainty when it came to Jackson’s status in Baltimore. Things had gotten bad to a point wherein Jackson had even publically stated his leave from Baltimore. However, the team was able to pull back in terms of the negotiation and bring about a contract of a whopping $260 million over a span of 5 years. This has incidentally made him the highest-paid player in NFL history.
While the struggle to bring him in was a long one, it seems like everything is working out for the Ravens. It only remains to be seen how Jackson’s efforts in the offseason will translate in the upcoming season.
