Taylor Heinicke led the Washington Commanders to a last-minute comeback against divisional rivals NY Giants. The game ended in a 20-20 tie and put a dent in both franchises’ playoff chances. However, Commanders’ QB Heinicke’s on-field effort wasn’t the only thing making heads turn. Taylor Heinicke’s pre-game getup was quite fascinating to the binging community.

Before the game, Taylor walked in what seemed like a two-piece taken straight out of the popular Netflix show ‘Peaky Blinders’. And fans were quick to notice the hanging pocket dial clock from Taylor’s chest resembling the ones from the show. The hat was just the cherry on top. Heinicke filled in for injured Commanders QBs Alex Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick. And he fought his way in much like the Peaky blinders and maybe Taylor relates a bit too much.

Taylor Heinicke resembled a particular character from the show more than the rest of the cast. A character named Thomas Shelby played by renowned actor Cillian Murphy.

Pre-game dress-ups are a tradition in the NFL and NBA, but fans think Taylor should at least openly admit that Peaky Blinders is his favorite show.

Taylor Heinicke can very well make his career story into an inspirational Netflix show

The Minnesota Vikings signed undrafted free agent Taylor Heinicke in 2015. However, it was in Houston where he got his playing start as a Texan in 2017. The next year, he went to the Carolina Panthers until the Commanders finally picked him up. After filling up in pressure situations, Taylor didn’t have to look back. Heinicke went on to become one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks and has brought the Commanders to a potential playoff and Super Bowl contention.

The 29-year-old QB from Old Dominion had a 3419 yards season last year and is well on the way to another 2000 yards this season. That number will go up if the Washington Commanders make the wildcard berths in the NFC playoffs. Being in one of the hardest divisions in the league doesn’t make things easier for Taylor Heinicke.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys lead the division while the Commanders still trail behind the New York Giants. But fans nevertheless appreciate the fight in the midst of ownership changing hands after owner Dan Snyder put the franchise up for sale recently. Can Taylor Heinicke ride through the adversities and bring back the Redskin glory days for the Commanders?
