The current offensive player of the year, Cooper Kupp, played a significant role in winning the Super Bowl LVI for the Los Angeles Rams. The wide receiver in his recent interaction with Colin Cowherd asserted the greatness of his teammate, now free-agent Odell Beckham Jr. He believes that Beckham’s calm attitude is what makes him one of the greatest receivers in the league. The duo partnered for the team during the 2021 season, and Kupp affirmed to have learned a lot from the veteran.

On his appearance at the Colin Cowherd podcast, Kupp discussed various topics, starting from his childhood to his championship victory. That’s when Cowherd asked the Super Bowl Champion what all things he had learned from other players on the team, especially watching Odell Beckham Jr. play by his side.
“His patience… his ability to..no matter what happens if he loses this release and his ability to be patient enough and trust that the depth of his route and the timing…” he said.
“His ability to understand that. And understand that the patience at the top of the route is going to allow him to win still. It’s my biggest thing about Odell. He played with such confidence and with such patience, that’s a great thing… It is an art form. It’s not about just how fast you can run.” Kupp said about OBJ’s skillset.
“It is getting open at the right time as well as being in the right place at the right time. And you know, his ability to get to the top of rocks and to understand how to use his eyes. manipulate guys, face freezing guys, he did an incredible job at that.” Kupp added to his speech.
Cooper Kupp is an exceptional wide receiver
After getting drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft, Kupp became a lethal weapon for the team’s offensive unit. The East Washington alumnus was awarded the Walter Payton Award as a junior.

Last season turned the tables for Kupp in his NFL journey. He rose to fame as the OPOY and got enshrined as the MVP of Super Bowl LVI. His contract with the Rams will help him go through the 2023 season with an average salary of $14.5 million.

In the 2021 season, Kupp registered 145 receptions and 16 touchdowns. With the value of wide receivers taking a sudden surge this off-season, it is expected for Kupp to bag a hefty deal as soon as his tenure with the Rams ends.
