America’s Team is on fire this season. They won five out of their last six games and are 10-3 in the league. Despite playing amazingly so far, Dallas could not convince their excellence to the legendary former tight-end, Rob Gronkowski. His sharp words against the team made the fans livid.

In Week 11, Jerry Jones’ team won in the most impressive manner against the Minnesota Vikings. They crushed the men in purple by a score of 40-3. Although the Dallas Cowboys struggled throughout the game against the Houston Texans in Week 14, Dak Prescott and Co could take over the game and defeat their rivals.

But when Rob Gronkowski appeared on a Fox Sports pre-game show on Sunday, he made sure to give his opinions freely about the Cowboys. The former New England Patriots TE was of the opinion that NFC West-leading San Francisco 49ers are the real threat this season.

He said, “But you also can’t forget about the Minnesota Vikings. They have a better record than the Dallas Cowboys. And are the Dallas Cowboys pretenders or contenders? And history states that they’re pretenders every single year.”  Gronk referred to the team’s inability to reach an NFC Championship game since they won their last Super Bowl in 1995. Even though the team performed strongly in numerous regular seasons, they could never move to the Championship game.

Fans tried to prove Rob Gronkowski wrong

His statement plucked a nerve amongst the Cowboys fans who criticized him for his views.

Maybe Gronk’s opinions are based on the fact that he’s 3-0 against the Cowboys. But the team has been ambitious this season and recently won a game against the Texans on Sunday.
