Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have lost three in a row now. And after three straight loses, one does find faults in the team’s play. But Rodgers doesn’t even credit the Washington Commanders defense for their play in the win against his Packers.

All it took was one word from Rodgers to roast the entire Commanders‘ defense in the game.

Aaron Rodgers on the Commanders defense

Aaron Rodgers joined Pat McAfee for another round of “The Pat McAfee Show”. He was speaking after the Packers lost 21-23 to the Commanders in game week seven. During the talk, McAfee asked Rodgers about the Commanders’ defense and the things they did to win the game. And Rodgers could think of just one word. “Nothing.”

“Nothing. Well, they didn’t have to do anything. They rushed four guys, they played cover four, they sprinkled a couple of weak inserts and a couple of man coverages and that was it. They got good players but in terms of schematically what did they do? Just lined up and played,” Rodgers said.

So naturally, the question shifted to what the Packers do wrong. And Rodgers was ready with an answer. “Well, I mean they (Commanders) have a nice front. They have a lot of first rounders in that front. They got good linebackers, good on the backend. But we had so many mental errors and mistakes. It’s not the kind of football we are used to playing over the years you know. There have definitely been games, you know, seasons where we have averaged four or five, six maybe seven, kind of mental errors or missed assignments per week,” Rodgers argued.

He also said that the team made too many mental mistakes in the game on Sunday.

Rodgers was really brutal in his assessment.
