Harrison Wilson happened to be a great thinker and a big dreamer. The former attorney made sure that he imbibes similar qualities in both his sons growing up and that they could prove themselves as better human beings.
Well, to a great extent, Wilson Sr. succeeded in his intent. Just like every year, the Broncos passer remembered his father and tweeted, sharing an old photograph of him. It appears to be one of those old days when he played for NC State.
Heaven is better.
Happy Birthday Dad.
We miss you everyday.
I can’t wait to see you again one day.
Thanks for loving and raising me!

“Heaven is better.” Wilson wrote, captioning the post. “Happy Birthday Dad. We miss you every day. I can’t wait to see you again one day. Thanks for loving and raising me!” he added.
Harrison Wilson passed away in 2010 at the age of 55. He was highly diabetic, which eventually led to other organ failures. His condition worsened slowly and affected one of his legs. An unexpected stroke distorted the speech that nearly made him inaudible. Despite all these setbacks, Wilson Sr. was a constant source of encouragement for his kids. As a youngster, he pursued two sports in college.
He was a star baseball player and played wide receiver on the gridiron, nearly securing a spot in the NFL roster. Later, Harrison grew into one of the most well-known attorneys, fostering his kids and making them more ambitious. Even today, Wilson mentions recalling his father every single day and the lessons he transpired to them.
The NFL world showers love on Russell Wilson and his affection for his father
The only thing that kept Russell Wilson moving was a question his father constantly kept on asking him. “Son, why not you? Why don’t you play pro baseball? Why don’t you play pro football?” he said in one of the interviews. Well, today, Harrison would be proud looking at his son.
