Simpson, known for his outspoken opinions on social media, had recently been drawn into false rumors of a heart attack, which he promptly debunked, reassuring his followers. Moreover, around a month ago, the 76-year-old also discussed the controversial matter of transgender sports players, giving his thoughts. However, once again, the former Buffalo Bills running back has stepped forward to share his views on Ruggs’ legal issue.

Simpson, 76, recently took to Twitter to voice his thoughts, addressing his nearly 900k followers mere hours after the 24-year-old former Raiders star received a reported 3 to 10-year prison sentence in connection with an alleged accident case. Henry Ruggs was allegedly involved in a fatal accident nearly two years ago due to reckless driving. With the imprisonment sentence now in effect, Simpson turned to his social media to share his perspective on the duration of the sentence.

As stated by the JPA Football Twitter page, “OJ Simpson says 3-10 years wasn’t enough of a sentence for Henry Ruggs.According to TMZ reports, Simpson’s statement read, “The math doesn’t add up…I know I went to college on a football scholarship but somehow this math is not adding up to me.” He further added, “You’re driving a car at roughly 160 miles per hour on a public street and end up killing a girl and her dog and you get three to ten years?

Although OJ Simpson had his own opinion to give in the situation, the alleged accused Henry Ruggs now found himself at the center of a legal storm.

Former Las Vegas Raiders player Henry Ruggs received a sentence on Wednesday of a minimum of three years in a Nevada prison. This was due to his involvement in a fatal incident where he allegedly drove his sports car while intoxicated at speeds of up to 156 mph on a city street nearly two years ago. The former first-round NFL draft pick said, “I sincerely apologize. I have no excuses,” during his sentencing in Las Vegas.

This followed his guilty plea in May to felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. The latter charge carries a six-month jail sentence, which will be included in his three-to-10-year prison term. At 24 years old, Ruggs was released from the Raiders following the accident that took place on November 2, 2021, while he was still hospitalized.

The crash resulted in the tragic death of Tina Tintor and her dog, Max, while also causing injuries to Ruggs’ passenger, Kiara Je’nai Kilgo-Washington, who is his fiancée and the mother of their daughter. Now only the time will reveal what’s next in store for Henry Ruggs.
