The documentary sees Netflix and NFL share a closeup to one of the favorite quarterbacks in the game, Patrick Mahomes. With the Chiefs QB sharing the screen with two other QB, it could turn out to be a great story for the fans. Mahomes adds in the trailer talking about football and his life, saying, “I dedicated my life to football.” QB will be the latest documentary to be added to the NFL library. It joins other documentaries such as American Underdog about Kurt Warner which released in 2021.
Having won the Super Bowl last season, fans will be looking forward for a peek behind the NFL curtain. In the trailer when his coach talks about taking him out, Mahomes responds, “No. H**l, no. I’m good.”
Patrick Mahomes shares his insight on the fans and goes on to add the obstacles the players face on the off days. “Everybody sees the game days. They don’t see the day to day grind,” says Mahomes in the trailer as well as his promotional tweet. Fans maybe excited to see Mahomes the life of a QB, but not everyone is on the same page about the other QB in the documentary.
Fans divided on the ‘Quarterback’ documentary
Almost every NFL fan is looking forward to see Mahomes in the documentary, but not everyone will share the same feeling about Cousins and Mariota sharing the screen. Ever since the announcement of the impending documentary, fans have speculated why Mahomes is joined by Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota of the Vikings and Falcons respectively. Upon the release of the trailer, fans took to social media and YouTube comments to share their theories.
One fan eagerly shared an interesting take on the first season of the Quarterback. He goes on to share, “People here seem to fail to see that they wanted to show different perspectives of 3 starting QB’s in 3 different spectrum’s: Super Star, Veteran, and a Journeyman QB.”

Kirk has his own fans and supporters that defend his position in the documentary. One fan says, “Kirk gets so much hate but the guy is gamer and a role model off the field. He also has the most game winning drives in the last decade but who would ever know that because of the hate.”
Whereas some fans still question the addition of Cousins and Mariota. This is evident as another fan questions, “Why’d they choose 1 amazing qb and then 2 trash qb’s”
Mariota saw his team end the season quite poorly, which has seen fans take aim at it. With a comment questioning, “Why Mariota like Ik mahomes the best obv and then Kirk who’s pretty mid but then they got mariota?”
