The Vikings wideout continues his scintillating rookie season with an extraordinary sophomore season. Despite his standout numbers, the Vikings are out of contention due to a lack of aggressive play calling. For a young stud like Jefferson, team success is equally important as individual success.

Under their QB Kirk Cousins who is a true leader for their franchise, the aggressive mentality will help them gain wins in games their otherwise wouldn’t. The presence of other stars around him like Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen on offense display hidden potential to be more than average.

But additional help is in great need at Minnesota who has a struggling team in both Offense and Defense lineups. Cousins and Jefferson can only do so much for any real achievements to be made in Minneapolis.
Justin Jefferson: Minnesota’s Shining Light
Jefferson did manage to break OBJ’s record for most receiving yards in a player’s first two seasons in NFL history. In only his second season, to break a record this early in his career make him a great prospect for Minnesota’s future.

Jefferson is his closest competitor at 1,335 yards to Rams receiver Cooper Kupp’s 1,625 receiving yards this season. The feat is quite impressive considering the differing ideologies that both Vikings and the Rams play football. While the Rams clearly have the superior offensive line, Jefferson getting close to Kupp should be a fictitious stat.

The consistency he displays as a game-changer and an impact playmaker is something nobody can dispute in the 2021 NFL season. Even more surprising is that JJ leads the NFL with 14.3 yards per touch. It provides his critics another opportunity that he is unstoppable and defenders cannot stop him on the football field.

Jefferson is displaying trends similar to the all-time greats in his position. When all is said and done, he might end up becoming one of the best to step out onto the field.
