This year’s NFL trade deadline day marked the busiest the league has ever seen. The deadline being mid-season is rewarding in a way as it helps teams to improvise wherever needed. The Green Bay Packers were top contenders for going shopping this deadline day as they look to rescue themselves from their miserable run this year. However, to their fans’ disappointment, no front-office moves were made by the Wisconsin franchise.

Aaron Rodgers is off to a miserable start this season as he finds himself in a poor showing with a 3-5 record with the Packers. The Packers have lost 4 games on the trot and the latest whooping came to the hands of the Bills in a 27-17 loss. Post this loss, fans, and QB, Aaron Rodgers, anticipated a much-needed addition to their roster.

The Packers missed their franchise record-breaking WR in Devante Adams. Post his move to the Raiders, the team hasn’t been the same as their replacement, Allen Lazard nurses a shoulder injury.

However, this could also mean that they didn’t want to empty their pockets on a short-term solution and work on long-term goals. Famous sports media house, Complex Sports, got a little creative as they sympathized with Aaron Rodgers.

A Twitter handle also announced a Packers loss just midway through the season.

Another fan took to Twitter to comment on how Packers’ rivals had carried out super deals, which won’t translate too well for Rodgers and Co.

You Snooze you lose

As the Packers failed to convert, their rivals didn’t miss out on the opportunity. The Vikings and Bears, both were part of deals that could benefit them for the rest of the season. The Vikings brought in a tight end, T J Hockenson from the Lions. While the Bears pickpocketed the Packers in acquiring Chase Claypool from the Steelers. Claypool was the perfect fit for the Packers in this window, but they snoozed on him. Rodgers would have definitely benefited from bringing him in.
