While the rift in Rodgers’ relationship with his family began after his first championship win, the ugly picture of their broken relationship wouldn’t hit the spotlight until the QB started dating Hollywood Star, Oliva Munn. Munn has often been criticized for being the true cause behind the family rift, but she couldn’t hold her silence when she revealed the ugly truth about Aaron Rodgers’ relationship with his family. 

“I don’t think either side of the road is clean, but I do think it’s not OK when you try to stand on someone’s shoulders and then throw dirt in their face, which is what I think they did with him,” she said.

Munn criticized Rodgers’ family for publicizing private details of their family relationship, in a bid to reach out to the QB. But the move reportedly backfired when Rodgers expressed his disappointment with their public outcry. Munn and Rodgers have been broken up for a while now, but the actress had certainly had enough of taking the blame for the broken family drama that she had been dragged into. 

Why did Rodgers distance himself from his family? 

While Aaron Rodgers has always preferred to keep his private matters away from the public eye, his distant relationship with his family has perhaps been his most glaring private issue to hit the news. Rodgers’ own brother, Jordan, was the first to bring up the rift in the family when he revealed the distant relationship between Aaron and his family. 

For many, the real reason for Aaron distancing himself has been the change in his relationship dynamics brought about by his immense fame and success. Munn hinted at the same as well in her interview, and the timeline between Rodgers becoming a global sensation while drifting away from his family, fits perfectly. While only Rodgers can know the true reasons for this, he would hope to finally reconcile with his family after his brand new start with the New York Jets.
