Matt Corral has had a blistering season so far for Ole Miss
Lane Kiffin, a second-year coach at Ole Miss, helped Corral go from a shaky redshirt freshman in 2019 to one of the SEC’s top quarterbacks in 2020. Thanks to Kiffin’s guidance, Corral took another big stride forward this season. He had been plagued with interception concerns since 2020 but it doesn’t affect him anymore thanks to Lane.
Despite playing through an injury for much of the second half of the season, he has 523 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Overall, in 10 games this season, the quarterback has thrown 17 touchdowns and only two interceptions. The rookie also completed 66.6 percent of his passes. Thanks to his blistering performances for Ole Miss, the team is currently at an enviable position with 9 wins.
