Recently, cornerback Trevon Diggs signed a $97 million deal of 5 years with the Dallas Cowboys. The player was a part of the Cowboys’ defense and was all set to start this season with a bang. But things changed quickly when Diggs got injured.

During Thursday’s practice, the cornerback suffered a knee injury due to which he won’t be playing for the rest of this season. People have been hyping up the Cowboys’ defense, but with a major player not playing, the team will have to put in more work. Recently, cornerback Jourdan Lewis commented on the Cowboys’ situation. His interview has been circulating online and it seems like Dallas Cowboys have a new hope.

Lewis praised Dak Prescott

As the next match of the Cowboys is approaching with the Arizona Cardinals, fans are excited to see the Cowboys’ defense. Recently, CB Lewis was interviewed by a few reporters where he talked about how they’ve been practicing for the upcoming match. The conversation sprung up from Lewis talking about the opposition team’s offense. He said that their offense looks good on tape so they’re preparing accordingly.

The player continued to say that they’re practicing every day and will give their best. Additionally, he also said that regardless of the Cardinals’ record, they’re a tough challenge. Later, the player was asked about Dak Prescott to which he added his comments happily. He said, “The old man’s getting old, he can still sling it though.

The player further appreciated Prescott’s skills and said “That’s definitely an amazing accomplishment.” He also said that Prescott is one of a kind. Prescott does have an amazing vision for the team. Even though Prescott is now 30 years old, all his teammates believe in him, as said by Lewis. Meanwhile, Trevon Diggs also commented on his injury and the situation.

Diggs thanked his fans

The team indeed has suffered a major blow with Diggs not playing. The player underwent an MRI so he could confirm if he’ll be able to play for this season or not. The results were declared as he won’t be playing this season. The First-Team All-Pro took to Twitter to thank everyone who wished him well.

The player said that he is thankful for all the wishes he’s receiving and appreciates everyone checking up on him. Furthermore, the player also added that this is just what God has planned for him. The cornerback also assured fans that he will be back and will be much better than before.
