Lamar himself announced the event in a short video, saying that it’s for a good cause. The event is a black-tie and sneaker gala where guests can wear formal clothes and sneakers.

Lamar Jackson’s recent project has a strange resemblance to his current state of mind on the field. This is strange. If fans remember, Lamar posted a picture on March 23 of a sad Ben Affleck smoking meme with his No 8 jersey photoshopped on it. Lamar used the exact caption, “It’s Ok not to be Ok” around his scenario.

“This is Everyday But “It’s Ok not to be ok” Mental health awareness,” Lamar captioned. At the time, Lamar Jackson was negotiating a new contract with either the Ravens or another team, which is still in dilemma.

The highest-paid NFL player leaves Lamar Jackson in the dust

According to an ESPN report, Jalen’s recent deal situation could impact Lamar Jackson’s negotiations with the Ravens. The Ravens are getting a good deal, but it’s not so favorable for Lamar. He’s been looking for guaranteed money exceeding Deshaun Watson’s $230 million, but the highest guaranteed money so far is $110 million for Jalen Hurts. The Ravens’ argument that the Watson deal is an outlier and shouldn’t be used as a negotiation point seems to be winning so far.

In contrast, some reports mentioned that the Ravens only offered Lamar Jackson a contract with $133 million guaranteed, giving him leverage to ask for more money in negotiations.
