The Odell Beckham Jr. saga is dragging on and on. He is on a tour spree to look at various franchises vying for his signature. But now one of the frontrunners to sign him is looking to pull out of the race. According to reports, there are concerns over the star wide receiver’s health.
OBJ became a free agent at the end of the 2021 season and hasn’t featured in the NFL since. He is out due to an ACL injury he sustained during the Super Bowl 2022.

Odell Beckham Jr. is the most sought-after free agent in the NFL at the moment. Several teams are in the fray to sign the explosive wide receiver. These include the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys. Even the Los Angeles Rams wanted to sign him back, but that seems to have cooled down a little bit. The Cowboys have been the frontrunners most of the time, but now it seems their interest has hit a snag over health concerns.
According to reports, the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is skeptical about the timeline of OBJ’s return to the field. The Cowboys believe that the wide receiver hasn’t progressed enough from his ACL injury, and he won’t be able to return to the field before mid-January.

If the Cowboys do pull out of the potential deal, that might work in the favor of the Bills, who look to be just behind the Dallas outfit in the WR’s preference order. The New York Giants also are said to be interested in a potential reunion with OBJ.
The return of a Super Bowl champion

Odell Beckham Jr. won the Super Bowl last season with the Rams. It is in that game that the star wide receiver tore his ACL. The injury also dampened his chances of a longer deal with the team he helped lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

The Giants brought OBJ into the league after they picked the Louisiana State alumni in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. Five seasons and three Pro Bowl appearances later, he joined the Cleveland Browns. There he spent the next two and a half seasons before his release mid-season in 2021. The wide receiver then signed a half-season deal with the Rams and won the Super Bowl LVI with them.

So, wherever he ends up, he will be going with a ring under his belt. But it is still not clear who will end up with this explosive offensive weapon.
