Aaron Rodgers made his intentions clear of continuing in the NFL, his uniform of choice however came as a shock for the Packers nation. Last week, Rodgers made an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and revealed his desire of joining the New York Jets. Since then, the Jets have been busy putting together a team worthy of Rodgers. And OBJ has been the top prospect for them, which is clearing more and more with time.

Having already grabbed the Kansas City Chiefs receiver, Meloce Hardman, the Jets now have their eyes turned toward Odell Beckham Jr. Hardman has agreed to a one-year deal that can be worth up to $6.5 million. Odell Beckham Jr. and the New York Jets are both interested in coming together, and OBJ recently took the first step in furthering that relationship.

Speculations around Rodgers handing over a wishlist to the New York Jets have been doing the rounds for a while now. Rodgers however clarified that he merely suggested some names.

That’s not the reality, that’s just ridiculous. It’s so stupid.  Now did they ask me about certain guys that I played with, of course, did I talk glowingly about teammates that I love, yeah? Why wouldn’t you? Do I make demands about certain people? I mean, it’s just. And people want these things to be true,” the Qb said.

Among those names was Rodgers’ Green Bay teammate Allen Lazard. Lazard has signed to a four-year, $44 million deal, while the Jets are also eyeing Packers wideout Randall Cobb on their radar, as well as Packers tight end Marcedes Lewis.

Odell Beckham Jr. has also been linked to this superficial wishlist, as Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee show, “Who wouldn’t want Odell on their team?”

OBJ himself seems to be quite keen on going to the Jets, as he seems to be extending his hands to his potential future teammates.

Beckham reaching out to Lazard might just be the first step for him toward going back to New York. OBJ is no stranger to playing in front of a New York crowd, and this time he might get to do so with none other than A-Rod.

Odell Beckham Jr. is on the table

NFL reporter Jeff Darlington recently shared his opinion on Odell Beckham Jr.’s situation.

During ESPN’s ‘Get Up’, Darlington went on to state that the Jets are very much interested in OBJ, but the financials might need to be worked out.

Just because you see this wide receiver room continuing to shift does not mean that they are done work. We should very much consider Odell Beckham Jr. still on the table as an option for the New York Jets,” he said.

With both parties eagerly hoping to come together, the New York fanbase might be in for an exciting 2023 season. Clearly, a team spearheaded by Rodgers’ throwing ability along with Odell Beckham Jr.’s sheer athleticism would be a nightmare for the opposing teams and a treat for the home crowd.
