The race to sign Super Bowl-winning wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. seems to be coming to a close. The former Rams’ WR missed the first half of this season due to an ACL injury, which he suffered during the Rams’ Super Bowl victory last year. And ever since the Rams failed to sign him back to the team, he has been one of the hottest properties on the market. And he is loving every single moment.

But that run is coming to an end, and rightfully so. A player of his caliber cannot and should not stay a free agent for no reason whatsoever. And OBJ must be thinking the same. With half the season over, he has an understanding of where teams are going to end up at the end of the season. Which will be a crucial factor if he plans to play for a Super Bowl-contending team.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, sources from the league predict OBJ wants to narrow down his choices, and preferably sign a contract by the end of this month. The sources also reveal that the list of potential teams includes some noteworthy teams. Dak Prescott‘s Dallas Cowboys, Josh Allen‘s Buffalo Bills, Patrick Mahomes‘ Kansas City Chiefs and Jimmy Garoppolo‘s San Francisco 49ers are all part of the list. OBJ’s first team in the NFL, the New York Giants, also remain favorites for the WR to end up at.

Odell Beckham Jr. looks to sign for a team as recovery period comes to an end
OBJ‘s fabled return is soon to be upon us. As the question of ‘where’ still lingers about in everyone’s mind, the ‘when’ is getting clearer day by day. Dr Neal ElAttrache, the surgeon who operated on OBJ’s knee, is reportedly ready to clear OBJ for all football-related activities. This is a good sign for both OBJ and potential teams looking to sign him. His fitness during the post-recovery period will give teams insight into his condition during the season.
Another favorable rumor in the mix is that OBJ is looking to sign a multi-year deal. This is especially great for teams who will not have to force themselves into a guaranteed contract, which they might not be comfortable with. A multi-year contract will give both parties immense room to work around, and will result in more chances of a favorable outcome. No matter which team he signs for, the next half of the season looks to be an exciting prospect.
