Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers was one of the best games for CeeDee Lamb, who had his career-high performance. Although the Cowboys lost, the wideout played a crucial role, and Jerry Jones hailed the wide receiver for his splendid performance. But does that mean the Cowboys owner left his pursuit of Odell Beckham Jr.?
Well, the answer is a big ‘No.’ A talent like OBJ is irreplaceable and can’t be compared with a youngster like CeeDee Lamb. The amount of experience he would bring is something that is necessary for the Cowboys at this point because they have just slipped to the third spot in the NFC East following a loss against Aaron Rodgers.

It was a close knock that dragged the game over time. Lamb made two touchdown carries and a career-high 15 targets. With that performance, he became the fastest player in team history to surpass 200 career receptions. However, the only backdrop he suffered was an interception from Dak Prescott during the first half of the game.

But that doesn’t make Jones feel anything less about his receiver. “CeeDee Lamb had the best game I’d ever seen him play for the Cowboys. Other than INT miscommunication, man, it is encouraging to see him play at that level.” Jones said per Epstein.
Well, Lamb was certainly not satisfied with the result. Even though he gave his best, in the end, it was a frustrating defeat. “We fought hard but obviously we came up short, and we left a lot of things (on the field). There were some flags on the back end. We just got to capitalize.” Lamb said after the game.

Currently, a free agent, the reigning Super Bowl champion Odell Beckham Jr. happens to be a hot prospect. After suffering from a torn ACL, he was recovering from his injury. He is soon to get a medical clearance, and the teams have started chants for the wideout.
The Cowboys are the front-runners in this context. “Odell is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor,” Jones said about his interest. “I know the Cowboys star on that helmet, when he puts it on, could look pretty good,” he added.
