Odell Beckham Jr is arguably one of the best wide receivers in the NFL today. He started his career with the Cleveland Browns. But things did not go the way he had hoped. Beckham’s time with the franchise was cut short, and he was forced out of Cleveland.

Everything seems to have happened for the best. Because OBJ will be playing in the Super Bowl this Sunday. While the Cleveland Browns are preparing for next year. Beckham does not like the way his relationship ended with the Browns. The WR compares it with a really bad break-up. 

Odell Beckham Jr. on leaving the Browns so abruptly

Odell Beckham Jr started his professional football career in 2014. He was a first-round draft pick by the New York Giants. Beckham played in New York for four seasons, and in 2019, he joined the Cleveland Browns. Over the years, OBJ has become one of the most popular players in the league. He was an instant hit in Cleveland. The players loved him, and so did the fans. But due to some trade deadlines, Beckham had to move to LA earlier this season.

One of the biggest regrets that I have about the way things ended is I just didn’t get it, it’s like having a break-up, but there really was no closure, and it’s kind of just like you go, that’s just it.” said OBJ. Beckham later went on to explain how the closure has been one of the biggest things in his life.

“I feel like if doors are not closed, they’re always still open. Just having to leave, leave these guys that are your brothers, you have lifetime friendships with, and it just happened so abruptly.” The wide receiver never wanted things to end the way they did. The Browns became his family, and it was not easy to leave everything behind and move on for Beckham. 

OBJ is about to play in the Super Bowl

Beckham may regret the way things went in Cleveland. But everything worked out for him in the end. The wide receiver is about to run down the SoFi stadium with the Los Angeles Rams for the Super Bowl.

Odell Beckham Jr wanted to play for the winners, and that is what he is doing at LA. In March. Beckham will become a free agent again. But he has expressed that he would like to stay with the Rams. Los Angeles has become OBJ’s new home.
