The reigning Super Bowl-winning wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been in the NFL long enough to know how fickle fame can become. In 2016, the former Los Angeles Rams wideout was the centerpiece of reports claiming he was dating ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star Khloe Kardashian. Both Khloe and OBJ were attending rapper Drake’s pool party and were talking to each other.

While it was a private party, images from the event were released by TMZ Sports and made fans think that they were the newest power couple. Khloe was quick to shoot down these rumors. As the feature story for the August 2016 GQ issue, he reveals to GQ editor Devin Gordon his confusion about the false news surrounding them.

While discussing the fallout from the reports, OBJ states, “Things go like that, and then some other girl that I may have been talking to her about it, and now it’s more drama, more commotion in my life. And I’m sitting here trying to explain my situation to somebody, and it’s really not even a situation.

OBJ seems to have learned a valuable lesson about his fame following the incident only after two years in the NFL.

Odell Beckham Jr. and his fire and desire

Despite being a young rookie entering the NFL, OBJ was never going to faze while taking on challenges. The former Giants wideout has had his share of battles over the years. It was his epic rivalry against Josh Norman which stands out. Both Norman and OBJ were pure competitors who fought both on the field and on social media for their franchises.
