With the trade deadline ending this Tuesday, teams are now, more than ever, looking at prospects who can be snapped up quickly. And the latest player to make the switch is receiver, Kadarius Toney. The New York Giants traded Toney to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, for a couple of draft picks. And eagle eyed fans have already touted him as a deadly weapon, and a new point of deep attack for Patrick Mahomes.

The Giants picked Toney first overall in 2021, but he has played more of a cameo role ever since. In his injury riddled NFL career, he has played only 12 games in 2 seasons, and made 41 catches for 420 yards. But his biggest strength is his speed, and he displays his power every time he’s healthy and on the pitch.

Locker room problem, always hurt, has played 2-3 good games in career.
Don’t think the Chiefs win by a mile. I think it’s a good offload by the Giants for a 1st round bust.

Y’all still suck at 6-1. Tony will win with KC. Whoever yalls quarterback is cant hold a candle to Mahomes. It’s a whole different world now for this man. And I assure you he’s going to be quite successful. He’ll be just fine. Just because y’all won six games…….

Imagine giving up on a player that has Tyreek Hill level of explosiveness. 🤦🏾♂️

Not that the Giant's needed receivers or anything. Trading away a promising receiver on a rookie contract who was drafted in the first round for a conditional 3rd hahahahaha.

Kadarius Toney set to bolster Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City offense
Toney could just be a perfect fit with the Chiefs and maybe display his full potential that he failed to with the Giants. His speed and agility are already a scary prospect for opponents, and all that the Chiefs need to do is keep him healthy. And the Chiefs certainly know how to use athletes in open areas, leading the NFL yards after catch for the third consecutive season.

The Chiefs also are proficient in their use of motions, and coming up with innovative plays to confuse and outmatch the opponents. They have the highest touchdowns from motion plays this season, and Toney’s agile nature can certainly become a headache for rival teams. Will the Chiefs be the key to Toney’s journey to legendary status? And will the Chiefs use this new boost to power their way to a Super Bowl this season?
