Time and time again, the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, has proven to be one of the most ruthless and effective athletes. Since 2018, he led the team to five consecutive AFC championship appearances and 2 Super Bowl wins, making history. The 2x MVP is regarded as the only worthy successor to Tom Brady after the latter’s retirement. However, all these remarkable feats did not stop Ja’Marr Chase from making Mahomes a victim of locker-room banter.
The Bengals wide receiver made quite a few headlines after his “Pat who?” remarks for the past week until Mahomes clapped back with an ultimate response. The star QB’s response sent shockwaves throughout the NFL world and the whole thing almost died down. But the feud doesn’t seem to be over as Mahomes’ best friend and teammate, Travis Kelce, has involved himself in the ordeal.

The tight end from the Chiefs hasn’t only limited himself to protecting Mahomes from on-field attacks, but also from off-field banters that he deems disrespectful. After making an appearance in his brother’s podcast, New Heights, Travis discussed with his brother, Jason, how distasteful Ja’Marr’s comment was. He also brought up all the colossal achievements his team QB has achieved throughout the years to mock Ja’Marr’s exaggerated reaction.
Travis then gave a shout-out to Ja’Marr for looking out for his quarterback teammate, however, ridiculed him right after with some strong words, “Don’t you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now, if you wanna talk your sh*t, talk your sh*t, p*mp! Just better back it up.” The Kelce brothers also agreed that they are in favor of locker room banters as long as it’s not way out of hand.

After the interview was up online, Travis’ quotes, which took a humongous jab at Ja’Marr, were shared all over social media. The Bengals WR took it to his Instagram stories to share a similar post by Sports Illustrated, with a caption that read, “On mami, call me the villain.” with the devil emoji. Ja’Marr takes a dig here at Kelce with the caption and makes it known that he is proud of his edginess.
How did it all begin?
This whole thing started only a week back when the Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow, was asked about his favorite quarterback. Without any hesitancy, he chose Mahomes as his top-most favorite QB. On the other hand, Ja’Marr chose Burrow as his favorite QB, and upon hearing that his teammate has chosen Patrick as his favorite, he replied, “Pat Who?” indicating he is not aware of their biggest opponent from the conference. Soon after, Mahomes fired back with a picture of him wearing his second ring and a caption that read, “That’s who”
