The Kansas City Chiefs reached their fifth straight AFC Championship game on Saturday night. The 27-20 win propelled Patrick Mahomes and Co for a rematch of last year’s conference championship bout against Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals. However, Mahomes returned to play the game despite the injury, and he is mentally confident about playing the Bengals next week. And fans pray that he is right.

nothing more than that? anyone who has had one of those knows exactly what the pain is.
It is a serious injury and can take weeks to heal sometimes longer, him playing on it after was brave and maybe silly. But lets hope it is not too bad

High ankle sprains usually take several weeks to heal . This is a serious injury. It’s better if it was fractured. It’s the worse scenario for player. If this wasn’t the playoffs he would be out for at least 3 weeks .

Nothing more than that was meant as in, No other damage aside from the high ankle sprain, which is a significant enough injury on its own.

Couldn’t playing with this injury further aggravate / make it worse? It’s a huge game I get it but this is risky for him personally and could effect his career potentially. Wow.
