The Packers have made an important decision that will hugely impact Aaron Rodgers if he wants to move away from Lambeau Field. The franchise will not trade their star QB to any team in the entire NFC. They will only consider trade deals from AFC teams.

According to NFL insider Dov Kleiman, Rodgers doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. So, the Packers will not contractually need to get his green light in the event of the trade. They can go ahead and send the QB to whichever franchise offers them the best deal in terms of draft picks.

The Packers signed Rodgers on a three-year extension deal last offseason. That deal was worth $150 million. So the franchise taking the QB will not only have to foot a huge contract, but they will part ways with at least two first round draft picks among others.
