Tom Brady gave the Buccaneers fans something to talk about. What looked like another poorly planned game and impending loss soon turned into shouts of victory. But this victory did not come easy. The Bucs looked like they were going to walk away with a defeat against the New Orleans Saints.

With barely any time left on the clock, Brady rallied and managed to come back from a deficit to take the game 17-16. With back-to-back touchdowns, the Bucs performed way better in half a quarter than they have all game. Tampa Bay doesn’t have a record they can be proud of. And TB12 is not oblivious to that fact.

After their close finish against the Saints, the quarterback spoke to the media. Brady garnered criticism during the second half of the game when he threw an interception. But that seems to be water under the bridge for Tampa Bay fans after their victory. When asked about what he feels about the turnaround, especially after last week, Brady said that the victory felt good.

Tom Brady is in for a long journey ahead

Their previous game against the Cleveland Browns resulted in a 17-23 loss. So a victory definitely lifted the spirits of fans and players alike. Brady said, “You know we got a lot coming on to the end and some we’ve won, some we’ve lost, which is why we’re six and six. Not where we want to be but we’ll keep fighting.” TB12 is right. The Bucs will have to keep fighting. A poorly performing division has handed them the top spot in the NFC South. Their chance at the playoffs cannot be taken for granted. Their latest victory improves their record to 6-6. That’s not the kind of record generally seen in divisional leaders, but the NFC South seems to be the exception.

While it is easy to say that the Bucs have a sure shot at the postseason, how will their inconsistency match up to the better-performing teams? An off-chance comeback victory offers no indication of a turnaround. But can TB12 give the Bucs more, performance-wise? The NFL world will anticipate more magical performances like the ones in today’s bout, preferably ones that aren’t restricted to only a single quarter of the upcoming games.
