NFL fans worldwide will be waiting in anticipation for the new Netflix docuseries called ‘Quarterback’. The show, which Peyton Manning’s Ohama Productions produced with NFL Films and Netflix, focuses on the journey of QB Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota last season in the NFL. It will not just only focus on their performances on the field last season, but also on every aspect that paints a picture of how QBs function in the NFL.

Fans will be excited to follow last season’s Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes’ journey. The docuseries promise to show the reality of these QBs on and off the field, with building a healthy boundary of trust and privacy. But fans can also expect to witness some intriguing moments in the series because of Minnesota Vikings QB, Kirk Cousins.

While the docuseries will give fans a glimpse of the everyday life of these QBs in the 2022 season, certain confidential meetings and discussions will not be a part of the show. When Peyton Manning reached out to Chiefs HC Andy Reid to seek permission for Mahomes to be a part of the docuseries, he laid down the condition that none of his own meetings would be recorded.

But according to an article by Mike Florio, Peyton Manning was taken aback by Kirk Cousins. The Vikings QB allowed Manning and his production team to record his meetings with his psychologist. Manning stated, “That was not part of the deal at all, but he said, ‘No, it’s OK, I want to have this documented. I thought it was awesome. It was real. It showed that it’s not all fun throwing game-winning touchdowns on Sundays”

With the show releasing on the 12th of July, fans can expect many interesting moments from the life of these QBs during the 2022 season.

The docuseries is one to watch out for

With NFL Films establishing trust with players and organizations for on-field access, fans will get to know the families of these QBs, their injury developments, and everything that went down in between. According to Peyton Manning, the access to the lives of these QBs was beyond his expectations. “A lot of it was above and beyond what we asked”, Manning said. Fans will also get to witness the construction of Patrick Mahomes’ new mansion in Cass County, which was recently completed and boasts his very own private mini-football field. It will also throw light on how Marcus Mariota lost his starting job in the same week he became a father and much more.
