‘Not Like You’re A Weird Trump Guy Or Anything, Right?’: Tom Brady Became Subject Of Boston Native John Krasinski’s SNL Skit That Poked At His ‘Friendship’ With Donald Trump

Tom Brady has quite a thing for acting, and his involvement in ’80 for Brady’ is the perfect example. However, this time, it has no involvement of the Buccaneers QB. One SNL skit had a TB12 impersonation by Boston’s own, John Krasinski. But they did it at the expense of Brady’s friendship with Donald Trump.

Saturday Night Live had Kate McKinnon in the cold open hosting a show called What Still Works. It had the audience expecting something special. Sketch comedy does not always cross the line into introspective territory. And when it does, it can be hilarious. The show’s concept was straightforward. It highlighted the functions in an era if every organization of American life has its flaws brought to light.

During the sketch, host Kate McKinnon had celebrities impersonating famous entities. The cast members imitated Marjorie Taylor Greene, a GameStop investor, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, O. J. Simpson, and Tom Brady. The casting members include Cecily Strong, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Alex Moffat, and Kenan Thompson.

Host McKinnon immediately attempts to position Brady, played by Boston native John Krasinski, as the elixir of life among the other guests. Despite being 43, he is playing in his 10th Super Bowl. He joined the Buccaneers that previously struggled. But its fortunes changed. However, there was a blip amidst all the positive words.

McKinnon asks, “You know what? I’ll be rooting for ya Tom Brady, because you’re the only goddamn thing this country can still rely on. And it’s not like you’re a weird Trump guy or anything, right?”

Krasinski says before swiftly bolting off the stage, “Thanks for having me.”

Are Tom Brady and Donald Trump still friends?

Tom Brady and Donald Trump’s association over the years is an undeniable factor. Reports once deemed the Buccaneers QB a Trump supporter after the cap incident. However, it looks like situations have taken a turn. Brady and Trump’s friendship began in 2001 when the billionaire entrepreneur asked the quarterback to board a Miss USA pageant. Since then, the duo had a great bonding and appreciated each other during public statements.

However, according to Sportingnews, their friendship caused the Brady family enough problems. Tom’s wife, Gisele, told him to stop discussing politics. Another report suggests TB12’s diet also influenced their friendship. Brady’s notoriously strict diet regime restricted most foods. But Trump’s diet comprised much more soda and fast food, which could lead Tom to keep his distance.
