The Buffaloes won against the Colorado Rams in what was an edgy, high-strung match. The stakes were high, and the time was running out, but somehow the Buffaloes did what they do best, improvise and take over the game. Amidst all the chatter, the naysayers, and the non-believers, Deion Sanders and the team came out waving the victory flag in the Rocky Mountain Showdown.

There were a lot of apprehensive comments that the coach had to tackle to finally get this win, after a long 2OT game. But in the end, all that matters to Coach Prime is a good game. FOX recently uploaded the post-game press conference with Coach Prime, which he handled elegantly. He was compared to the likes of Georgetown Hoyas, UNLV, and Fab 5 because of what he and the team represented, to which he modestly replied that it was an honor to even be mentioned among the likes of these leagues. The reporter then asked Sanders how this game affected the team’s popularity, to which he replied, “It’s tremendous, it’s not a burden, it’s a blessing”.

He said that as epic as the win was, the guys in the locker room didn’t understand how grand of a moment it was. Coach Prime said to his team, “Guys, this is the moment that you’ll never forget, let’s maximize this moment, and they went ahead and did it”. Sanders mentioned how time slips by quickly and these moments must be seized, especially by the young ones.

“What transpired today was incredible”, said the Coach to the reporter.

The conversation ended on a humorous note when a reporter asked the Coach about his son, Shilo Sanders. She asked Sanders if his son had moved up in his kid’s ranking after he got 2 turnovers. He entertained the reporter saying that all his kids did their own thing and it’s tough for him to rank them at this point.

“It’s a serious run right now and I’m the only one that’s honest about ranking my kids,” said Sanders as he chuckled.

What’s next for Sanders and the squad?

After winning the game against the Rams by the skin of their teeth, The Buffs are all set to go against the Oregon Ducks on September 23. Oregon Ducks is believed to be a very strong contender for the Pac-12 championship. They have been going strong since the beginning of this season and are expected to give fierce competition to the Buffaloes.
