Being in college is a great ride. Having a lot of energy and time to enjoy the things that you like. But that does not necessarily mean that it will translate into endless resources to do so. However, people find crafty ways to get around this malady. Even Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady, once shared how he literally worked on golf courses to enjoy his favorite pastime. He had to take up gigs at the course to play the sport.

TB12 once shared his resume from college back in 2014. And oddly enough, below his Merrill Lynch internship in 1999, there are two golf jobs as well. The 7 time Super Bowl champion has had a special place for golf, right after football. When asked about his jobs on the golf course, the player replied, “….it was my way to play free golf, because none of us had any money in college.” He was playing football for the University of Michigan back then, but that did not stop him from finding time to enjoy golf as well.

The love of golf runs deep in Tom Brady

Tom Terrific worked two golf jobs. The first was at Polo Fields Golf and County Club, as a course ranger and sales representative. The second one was at the University of Michigan, Golf Course as an assistant clubhouse manager. These gigs came in as summer jobs for the student who was playing collegiate football for the Wolverines. And according to the player, getting better at football came at a price for him. “Over the years, my golf got worse as my football got better,” revealed Brady.

Maybe the established NFL player would have found the job experience useful but the New England Patriots picked him up in the 6th round. He even alluded to this fact in his Facebook post, as his caption told that he felt he’ll need it after the 5th round.

Since then, the 45-year-old has somehow found a way to improve his golf skills, while winning Super Bowls. In a special event which saw Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes go against Aaron Rodgers and Brady, the experienced duo beat the new generation of quarterbacks.

And his love for Golf goes a long way. While he was raised in a family with 3 older sisters, for the QB, Golf was the perfect bonding time with his father. “You were out in nature, and you got some exercise and got a lot of bonding time,” he opened up.
