Shannon Sharpe has always had something to say about Antonio Brown. He has never held back. The Hall Of Famer has repeatedly and regularly argued that what is happening with AB’s professional situation, is mostly his own fault. And Brown’s latest comments on his ankle injury, have once again gotten Sharpe livid and irritated.

A couple of weeks ago, Antonio Brown told the media that he will not have his ankle surgery until he gets a commitment from an NFL team; for a job. He planned to get a job in the NFL after losing out on the third franchise in 3 years, and only then get his ankle fixed. But given his situation, reputation, and how the league perceives him, it might not happen that a new team will take on his case before knowing that he is 100% ready for the field. Or at least will be post having that surgery.

Shannon Sharpe’s argument, in this case, has been rather interesting. The Hall of Fame Tight End turned TV Analyst pointed to the most commonsensical aspect of this whole debate. The surgery is for himself, Antonio Brown will be the one benefitting the most from the surgery. Yes, if he gets fit to play, a team will profit from his amazing receiving abilities and talent. But first and foremost, that surgery is going to improve his standard of living. His comfort in life.

Shannon Sharpe compares the situation with Antonio Brown to his own struggles with a hip replacement. The former Tight End recently got the procedure done and knows firsthand how getting medical attention helps in relieving pain and improving quality of life. And his take is that AB is getting it all twisted and wrong. His body makes his job easier, not the other way around. And delaying surgery is almost never beneficial for the human body.
