While netizens and NFL pundits were busy hailing the Chiefs quarterback, former defensive end Marcus Spears ranked Jalen Hurts above Patrick Mahomes, enraging the KC fans worldwide.

It was an overall performance from both teams in the Super Bowl 57 game at Arizona. Till the first half, the Eagles had sustained the momentum leaving no room for the opposition to make a comeback. Precisely, a ten-point lead (24-10). While analyzing this game, Spears made some damning statements. He claimed that anyone who watches the NFL for the first time will incline toward the green dude compared to the red one.

“113 million people watched that Super Bowl, and you could not tell any deficiency between [Jalen Hurts] and Patrick Mahomes.” the veteran said on the show. “If you turned on the TV in that game for the first time watching the NFL football game, the dude in the Green was better than the dude in the red. I agree. like, and that’s really what the Philadelphia Eagles fans need to be excited about,” Spears said.

“That’s what this franchise the organization needs to be excited about. and how far moved are we from saying when they took Jalen Hertz in the second round, and they just gave Carson Wentz money,” he added.

Well, these comments took no time to spread like a wildfire, provoking the KC fans to call him out.

Anyways the Eagles quarterback had a loss to brag about. He tallied 374 total yards in total (via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports), contributing four touchdowns while showcasing his dual-threat heroics. The 24-year-old updated the record for most rushing yards in a Super Bowl game. It will be interesting to see how the Eagles upgrade their team strategy and make new additions in the upcoming offseason while offering a new extension for the quarterback.
