Russell Wilson is enjoying his time off the field before jumping into what could be the most crucial season in his NFL career. According to emerging reports, the QB narrowly escaped a huge injury blow as a golf cart incident sent shockwaves across the NFL world.

Reports suggest that Russell Wilson was involved in a golf cart accident when he flipped it in a bunker. The accident happened at the Arrowhead Golf Course in Littleton, Colorado, where Wilson was blowing off some steam in the NFL offseason. According to 104.3 The Fan host Mat Smith, nobody was hurt in the incident.

Is it just a coincidence that the accident happened in a golf course that shares the name with the home of the Broncos’ biggest divisional rivals Kansas City Chiefs? Of course, it was. Wilson will have the Chiefs to get past if he wants to take the divisional title in the 2023 season. And this incident at Arrowhead might motivate the QB to do well when the team visits the NFL’s Arrowhead.

The redemption battle

Russell Wilson arrived in Denver with much fanfare last offseason. The Broncos spent big to bring the signal caller to Empower Field and fix their offense. But his first year didn’t go exactly as they would have hoped.

The Broncos finished last in the AFC West division in the 2022 season. They won just five of their 17 games in the entire regular season. Apart from his performance on the field, Wilson faced criticism for his off-the-field antics. All in all, it was a season to forget.

And thus, the battle for redemption will begin under a legendary head coach who has touched the pinnacle of glory already. Will Wilson and Co. improve from last season? Fans will accept nothing less than a playoff run. Can they provide it?
