It looks like nothing is working for Antonio Brown at the moment. He recently bought a stake in National Arena League side Albany Empire and for a moment it seemed a perfect match. But everything has gone downhill since then and now even the enthusiastic Arena Football fans are turning on him. The former NFL wide receiver had an online spat with a fan amid the chaos in the Empire.

AB has always been outspoken on social media. And, frankly, he has seen a lot of trouble for it too. So, when a fan pointed out the empty seats in recent Empire games, AB wasn’t going to back down from it at all. Instead, he brutally shut down the fan’s whole conversation regarding the concerns about the team affairs in a single tweet.

A fan took to Twitter to allude that NAL’s Albany Empire was going down due to the chaos in the team. He even joked that the first 21 fans to come in for the next game would get to play on the team. When another fan said that the team shouldn’t have gone to Antonio Brown in the first place, the original tweeter said that the sale was out of necessity.

AB didn’t take the conversation very kindly. The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver shot back at the fan and shut down his opinion. A rather harsh way to do it, it seems.

The team has descended into chaos as many key players on the roster got their marching orders from the ownership. Even interim head coach Damon Ware is out of the door. That has resulted in a lot of uncertainty around the team. And all of it has something to do with money.

A group of the Empire players, along with the interim head coach Ware, reportedly had a heated argument with owner Antonio Brown on the team bus. Ware alleged that the team didn’t get paid on Friday before the game, the standard practice. AB, on the other hand, said that there had been a problem with account switching and that the team would get the money on Monday.

That may be the case, but all those who expressed their displeasure are no longer with the team. That includes the team’s star QB Sam Castronova and the current league MVP WR Darius Prince. According to a report, they weren’t let into their rooms after the Carolina loss.

It has been just over a month since AB took charge of the team. Now, with so many players out, and no fans in the stadium, it remains to be seen how the new owner will manage the situation. Will he pull a rabbit out of his hat, like the numerous times he has done it on the field? Do share your opinions in the comments.
