The Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB, Tom Brady, and the former tight end caught the attention of several people. Dana White, the UFC President, brought a piece of hidden information to life. White made a revelation during an appearance on ESPN’s UFC 278 with The Gronks. Rob Gronkowski encouraged the UFC honcho to tell the story of a pitch he arranged specially for Brady and Gronk.

The deal involved the iconic duo signing with the Las Vegas Raiders. As this news caught the attention of many, it reached the Raiders QB, Derek Carr. And seems like the rumor did not really please him.
When the reporters asked Derek Carr about his thoughts on the unsuccessful deal, he said, “It really doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, anything I say will just be blasted out there, so I’m just going to completely remove myself and just keep trying to play football. It’s been nice just answering football questions. And hopefully, no more drama in the city. That’s what I hope.”
While the fans ponder over the question ‘what if the Raiders recruited the dynamic duo to the team?’, Carr thinks about winning the AFC West division in the 2022 season.
White’s “almost done deal” for Tom Brady and Gronk
To the 53-year-old UFC President, the deal was tremendous. Also, one which would have kept Tom Brady close to White, as he considers him a great friend. Dana White excitedly looked forward to the deal.

According to Dana White, the deal did not come to fruition because of the then coach of the Raiders, Jon Gruden. At the time Brady was looking for new options after he spent 19 seasons with the New England Patriots. Gronkowski was amid his first retirement that he announced in March 2019.
Seeing all the conversation around the rumor, the team owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Mark Davis, expressed his thoughts. He said, “I heard about [White’s comments]. That was what — two to three years ago or something? I don’t know, man. Talk to Dana. I remember that Tom Brady went to Tampa Bay. That’s basically what I remember. I have no idea. Dana has the stories. I love Dana.”

Tom Brady was in talks of joining the Raiders and the New Orleans Saints. However, he ended up committing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
